Nicole Amada Ichtertz studied Fine Arts at the Rhode Island School of Design. She later studied fiber arts and began her training as a Waldorf teacher.
Inspired by the beautiful picture books she collected while working with children, and by nature, folklore, and the magical worlds children inhabit, she began creating her own illustrations.
Her first children’s book was done in collaboration with a 7 year old girl named Skylar Dharma Schmitt. Their book came out in January 2014.
Nicole makes her home between Missoula, MT and Southern California.
